Study of Fungal Colonization in Automobile HVAC
A microbiologist at Georgia State University tested the evaporator systems of 32 cars and found that every one of them was infested with up to 12 types of bacteria, mold and fungi!

About Mold in Your Car*
Mold spores are virtually everywhere, including the evaporator system of your car. When molds are present in large quantities, they can cause allergic symptoms.
Should I be concerned about mold...?*
When airborne mold spores are present in large numbers, they can cause allergic reactions, asthma episodes, infections, and other respiratory problems. Exposure to high spore levels can cause the developmnt of an allergy to the mold.
How much mold can make me sick?*
It depends. For some people, a relatively small number of mold spores can cause health problems.

With nearly all the air in the car passing through these coils, they are repeatedly exposed to everything in that air.
